On the way to Gibbston we stopped at a distillery for a tour and had a snack at a pub in an historic hotel. In the evening we had dinner at a church that was converted into a restaurant. We were the only diners at the restaurant and spent some time talking about living overseas with the owners who are U.S. expatriates with New Zealand ties. The church was a film location for the television series Under the Vines.
